Armenia opens event to fund, train filmmakers

Armenia's Golden Apricot festival has launched a platform for all filmmakers, who will be given access to new prospects for funding and gaining experience.

The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) is launching an innovative platform called GAIFF Pro for local, regional and international filmmakers.

All industry professionals and newcomers from Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey will be given access to the experience and knowledge of award-winning experts as well as new prospects for funding and cooperation.

Authors will be given the opportunity to develop their first or second projects and pitch it to internationally accredited specialists, under the GAIFF Pro’s C2C Regional Cooperation Film Market.

The C2C consists of three components - feature film market, market for films in production, and C2C film screening.

The GAIFF has been held annually for 15 years, with organizers also holding the Directors Across Borders for 10 years.
